I recently attended a session where the speaker, Madhuri Sawant Ma’am from Ivcap Ventures, gave an introduction to venture capital. She explained that venture capital (VC) involves companies or groups of people who help small startups and individuals with funding.
She also discussed the stages of startups, focusing on the importance of having an idea and a strong team. Additionally, she mentioned that as a product manager or founder, it is essential to have at least basic knowledge about the product, which refers to any project or newly founded startup.
During the session, I asked if it’s okay to start a startup in a field where there are already experts. Although ma'am didn’t fully understand my point, the session taught me a lot about VCs. I would like to thank the E-Cell at IIT BHU for this amazing opportunity.
